Under tile
or stone: SunTouch mats warm tile and stone floors in bathrooms, master baths,
kitchens, entries and sunrooms of any size and layout.
Roll out
SunTouch on your subfloor and cut the orange mat to fit your room.
Fasten the mat with tape or staples. Then top it with thin-set mortar
and tile, stone or slate.
Under
laminates: SunTouch mats are also UL listed to warm
any direct contact floor surface as long as the mat is embedded in
masonry. Wood laminates, carpeting and vinyl flooring are popular
choices.
Roll out the mat and hold
it in place with tape or staples. Pour a minimum 1/4” self leveling
masonry over the mat and then cover it with a finished floor.
Under
anything: If your floor
surface is finished but you have access, you can retrofit SunTouch
UnderFloor™ between the floor joists. Staple SunTouch UnderFloor™
between the joists leaving a 1” space between the mat and the floor. One
mat can heat several joist spaces.
SunTouch is the safest and easiest-to-install
heating mat in the industry. Listed by UL® for the U.S. and Canada and
tested by TCA for all residential and moderate commercial applications.
All mats have the “S-pattern” wire construction and produce 12 watts/sq.ft.
A single power connection comes off one mat corner. Just a few benefits
of the SunTouch are:
- Thin, open-weave construction
allows thin-set or self-leveling
mortar to install in one step to easily bond with the underlying
material. SunTouch adds only 1/8" over a normal tile installation.
- Over 45 sizes manufactured in three widths (12", 24", and 36"
wide) in sizes covering up to 160 sq.ft. Mats of any size (same
voltage) may be combined to heat larger areas.
- 120 VAC and 240 VAC models
available for small residential to
large commercial applications.
- Highest-quality heating wire
using DuPont® Kevlar®, Tefzel®, and copper alloys for
corrosion-resistance, temperature-resistance, abrasion resistance,
and longevity.
- Armored and fully grounded
10-ft. power lead for safety and job-site durability (longer lengths
available on request). Power leads are color-coded black/white/green
for 120 VAC, and black/blue/green for 240 VAC.
- Zero
electromagnetic field (EMF)
generation (measured at 1/2" above operating wire set at milligauss
setting).
