Kitec XPA Pex Tube is no longer available in the United States. We now carry Watts Radiant Pex-Al-Pex and fittings. The Watts fittings will work with your Kitec pipe. Please note that you will need to purchase the Watts reamer tool for the Watts fittings to have their warranty. If you use the Kitec reaming tool, the Watts fitting warranty will not be valid. An engineered composite pipe made from flexible aluminum tubing, permanently bonded between layers of durable high-temperature polyethylene, IPEX Kitec® XPA™ offers the excellent flow characteristics and corrosion protection you’d expect from thermoplastic, with the added strength and permeation resistance of metallic pipe. Kitec® XPA™’s higher pressure rating, along with its ability to withstand cyclic heating and cooling with minimal expansion, makes it ideal for in-slab hydronic radiant heating systems. What’s more, its built-in oxygen barrier helps protect key components of your system from deterioration. Bends can be made easily by hand. And thanks to its aluminum core, lightweight Kitec® XPA™ keeps its shape and stays where it’s laid during installation.
